Franklin County has been tightening its belt for several years and it’s paying off in the form of improved financial balances. Accountant Rodney Burns did an audit of county books. He says, “Things look good, but the tax lid makes it somewhat difficult for county operations.”
County Administrator Derek Brown says, “Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been saved over the last several years, and the county is always looking to save even more money through more efficient operations.”
