A 36-year-long Ottawa police officer is hanging up her uniform and plans to spend a lot of time by the lake. Bobbie Hawkins was the star at a reception held at the police station in front of a packed crowd of family, friends, and colleagues. Ottawa police chief Adam Weingartner started off the honors.
Hawkins was promoted up through the ranks and along with several others was instrumental in starting the dare and McGruff clubs for children.
