The chances are getting better that Franklin County will get some disaster money to help repair damaged roads and other infrastructure. Public Works Director David Lee says, “Some disaster assessors visited recently.”
Lee says, “I’m looking into ways of fixing roads so that they don’t crumble every time a flood occurs.” He cites in particular Virginia road north of lane which suffers severe erosion when flooded.
