If you haven’t, one week from today, July 4th, is the Ottawa Chautauqua Festival. Forest Park will be jammed full 3events all day long culminating with a fantastic fireworks display that evening. The morning starts with the Franklin County Cancer Foundation firecracker run and pancake feed, followed by a day full of activities. Ottawa Chamber President John Coen says, “They are trying to bring back a big part of Ottawa’s history.”
A home run derby, bike rodeo, games for the kids and adults, a turtle race, a performance by the city band and the bop daddies and then, according to reports, the biggest fireworks display the city has ever seen.
