The Ottawa Suzuki Institution has a pretty quiet summer in store. Alice Joy Lewis and her son Bryan are in Alaska this week for the Bryan Lewis young artists program held on the beautiful University of Alaska Fairbanks campus. The programs are a tuition-free opportunity for ten highly gifted violinists up to the age of eighteen to receive intense daily private instruction with Bryan Lewis. Lewis is an Ottawa native and a world-renowned cello artist.
Director Alice Joy Lewis says, “The program moved from Ottawa two years ago, but changes could be in the works.
She adds, “They will be back in the fall with the lesson program and performances. Those will be announced at a later date.”
