The intersection of U.S. 59 and Kingman Road is about to get safer. The Franklin County Commission has given formal approval to execute a contract with the Kansas Department of Transportation to make improvements to the intersection. Public Works Director David Lee says, “Several things will be installed.”
He adds it would be the same coming from the south. Lee says, “The whole project will be funded by the state. Total cost is put at a little over one point $5 million. The improvements are part of the proximity park development.
