The stormwater drainage project on Ash Street has been going on for several weeks. Despite some issues with heavy rain recently, Ottawa Public Works Director Michael Haefele says, “The project is looking good and barring any more bad weather should stay on schedule.”
The project is installing storm drains from 2nd Street to 6th Street on Ash, which didn’t have any, causing a torrent of rushing water from 7th to 2nd during heavy rains, flooding the street and overwhelming the drains at 2nd Street.
