A Williamsburg man was injured yesterday while he worked traffic control for the Kansas Department of Transportation on a previous fatality accident. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol a Texas woman, 52-year-old Patricia Falconer of Canyon Lake Texas lost control of her vehicle on I-35 about a mile and a half east of Beto Junction, overcorrected and the car rolled several times. A passenger in the vehicle, 27-year-old Jeffrey Cadman was seriously injured.

The Patrol says, “About 90 minutes later, a state transportation worker, 48-year-old Christopher Staley from Williamsburg, who was helping direct traffic around the wreck was struck by a tractor-trailer. He was taken to the Coffee County Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the semi, 55-year-old Morris Guesby complained of some pain but was not taken to a hospital. They all were wearing their seatbelts.
