As the stormwater drainage project progresses down Ash Street some homeowners are concerned with how it may affect their utilities. According to Ottawa utilities Director Dennis Tharp, most likely that will not be an issue.
There was one hiccup Tuesday as water service was disrupted for a few hours from 5th to 6th on Ash as crews made repairs and improvements to the water lines. The placement of the drainage tubes from 2nd to 6th Streets is expected to be completed in about one month. Once complete, crews will go back and begin the installation of new curbs along Ash Street.
