Boaters and campers have been chomping at the bit to get out to Pomona Lake this summer and that’s been difficult as the park is still recovering from the flooding earlier in the spring and summer. As the lake levels drop at Pomona, more and more are opening up at the lake. Officials at Pomona State Park report that the park is open and all the utility campgrounds are now open. They also report that boat ramp number 1 is also open and they have a courtesy dock available. The cabins are also open, as is the Kanza Shower building.

However, there are still several areas around the lake that are closed due to the recent flooding. Those include Kanza, White Feather, and Bunker Cove primitive campgrounds. The swimming beach is also closed and officials urge people not to swim in any areas that may still be flooded
