A big honor for a teacher at Ottawa High School. Stella Tharp will be receiving the lifetime achievement award from the Kansas career and technical education association. Officials from USD 290 nominated her last year for the award. Superintendent Doctor Ryan Cobbs says, “Tharp is a true leader in the field.”
Tharp has taught in Ottawa for the past 18 years. USD 290 District officials will be on hand as the awards are presented to her tonight at the career and technical education annual conference in Manhattan.
