It’s time to start thinking about “Fill the Bus”. The event kicks off today and is held yearly to help collect school supplies for those students in need. Fill the bus is a cooperation between Walmart and the United Way to help provide those supplies.
Communities in School Director Rachel Smith says, “The program is countywide.”
Last year over $8,000 of supplies were collected, along with over $1,000 in cash donations. If you would like to sign up for supplies or volunteer to help run the event, contact the Franklin County United Way or call Eckan at (785) 242-7515.
It will be held today thru August 4th at Walmart.
