Ottawa University has hired a new assistant professor of nursing. Doctor Linda King brings a vast amount of professional experience as well as a teaching experience to Ottawa. While working as the district nurse in West Franklin she was also the adjunct nursing professor at the University of Saint Mary and had been the director of post-licensure nursing. She served for 11 years at Baker University’s school of nursing as an assistant professor and has taught at all levels of nursing throughout her career. Beyond the classroom, she is licensed as both a nurse. Her professional nursing experience included time on staff at Olathe Medical Center, Ransom Memorial Hospital, and the Douglas and Franklin County jails.
King received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Pittsburg State University and her Master of Science in nursing from the University of Kansas. She also earned a PH. D in education from KU.
