If we learned nothing else from all the flooding this year at least we know the flood gates are working. Ottawa Police Chief Adam Weingartner held a news conference late yesterday and he says some of these events are historic.
Weingartner says, “The river is within its banks. It’s the overflow areas and where the river goes into drainage ditches that is causing the flooding in part of north Ottawa.”
