As the new school year approaches, we all want to make sure our little ones get to school safely. The Franklin County Health Department wants to help. They will give you a car seat at no charge and help you fit it into the car. Also, they are starting car seat safety checks. Jennifer Watkins from the Health Department says, “Properly installing the seat is very important.”
She adds that most people think it is safer to use both the seat belt and the latch system, however, using one of the other is the safest way. If you need a car seat or would like someone to check yours, call the Franklin County Health Department.”
