You may have noticed a few mosquitos around town, but it doesn’t appear to be anything usual. During the Ottawa City Commission study session, Public Works Director Michael Haeffele noted he’s been getting questions about mosquitoes.
Franklin County Health Director Midge Ransom says, “My main concern is diseases carried by mosquitos such as West Nile virus. So far there haven’t been any reports of the disease, but if there was a disease outbreak. There could be a change in attitude on mosquitos control.”
