The Walker art gallery is known nationwide for it’s incredible displays of art from a variety of artist has a special treat for the people of Garnett. They are displaying works form the North Topeka arts and entertainment district. There are many exciting pieces on display from galleries and studios in that area featuring local artists. One artist is Merle Miles, a Kansas farm boy who owns bat perch studios in Topeka. His work is inspired by the land and the rolling hills of his hometown.
Another artist is Shelly Bedsaul, from Topeka who owns acrylic and hand painted block prints. There are many more amazing art works on display now at the Walker art gallery. Come on in and check out the art form area artists. They will be on display through the end of September.
