Grand Prix revival is a go for the weekend of October 11th to 13th. There have been rumors and rumblings that the event was cancelled during several heavy storms that rolled through Garnett in the spring. A small section washed out under the bridge on the short straight on the back side which required several rounds of repairs, but the city of Garnett made sure the reconstruction and road surface is suitable for the revival. Officials from the revival are greatly appreciative of Garnett’s assistance and attention they’ve given to fixing the road.
They say things are full throttle with this year’s event and need everyone to help share the word. This year they are commemorating the 60th anniversary of the raceway and highlighting the 50th anniversary of the Boss Mustang…you heard that engine at the beginning of the story…so there are hopes that alot of people form past years will be on hand. So…get your cars a-running!
