Local farmers and ranchers are invited to a regional farm bill meeting in Ottawa this morning. The new farm bill has a lot in common with the last one but there are some significant changes that you need to know about. Marais Des Cygnes Extension Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent Katelyn Barthol says there are a variety of speakers at the meeting including two from K-State, among others, discussing a variety of topics.
She adds that FSA and NRCA officials will also be on hand. The farm bill meeting is this morning from 8:30 till noon at Celebration Hall on the Franklin county Fairgrounds.
