The Kansas Department of Transportation announces approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects in Kansas, and among those include a bridge replacement project in Miami county. The bridge on 263rd street over Wea Creek, which is 2 miles north and 4 miles west of Louisburg will be replaced. The contract was awarded to Bryan Ohlmeier construction of Paola for just over 500 thousand dollars.
There were also various asphalt projects in Osage and Douglas counties that were awarded to Dustrol Incorporated for 40 thousand dollars.
