The tractors and engines are filing into forest park as we speak for the 25th annual power of the past antique tractor and engine show. This year featuring ford tractors and Cushman engines. Today, there is a full day of events designed to demonstrate how farm work used to be done. Power of the past president Dave Reeves says the show is so much more than a gathering of gas engine and tractor enthusiasts, it’s a learning experience where the future meets the past.

Today, demonstration on threshing, straw baling, horse drawn feed grinding and hay baling, rope making and much more will be presented. The day will be highlighted by a parade of power around the park by dozens of old tractors at 2 this afternoon and topped off by a free ham and bean supper. Come on down to forest park today, tomorrow and Sunday, bring the kids and experience the power of the past.
