You might have to do some labor on you Labor day weekend, cleaning up your yard! Due to the recent storm in the Ottawa area, Public Works crews will collect limbs from private yards at the curbside. Weather permitting, the pick up will start on Tuesday and continue until completed. This may take a while as there are a lot of large trees down that take more time to clean up. A reminder: to make collection easier and limit possible damage to yeards, please stack the limbs parallel, “The same direction of the curb” and close to the curb. Collections cannot be made in alleys due to space limitations.
The city also has a free collection site for citizens to haul their own brush or limbs at the intersection of North Cherry Street and Enterprise Road. No items such as furniture, tires, etc. Are accepted. A sign is posted at the collection site for what is acceptable. Thank you for your patience.
