Two injury accidents involving bicycles and juveniles the past two days.
An 81-year-old Ottawa man apparently was not injured when the car he was driving was struck by a juvenile riding a bicycle. Ottawa police say albert Seitz was driving in the 500 block of north main street when the accident happened around 10:30 Saturday morning. The juvenile…whose name was not given…was taken to advent health for treatment. There was no word on the extent of the juvenile’s injuries.
The other accident happened yesterday morning. Ottawa police say 50-year-old Brad Callahan of Ottawa was driving in the 500 block of west 5th street when he was struck by a juvenile on a bike. That juvenile was also injured and taken to advent health Ottawa for treatment. Police officials urge all drivers to extra cautious on the road ways and be aware of cyclist on the road particularly now that school has started and many kids ride their bikes to school.
