Well, it’s now official electric rates for Ottawa customers are on the increase. Utilities Director Dennis Tharp spelled out the specifics at the regular City Commission meeting.
Tharps says, “The reserve fund in the electric department needs to be rebuilt to meet any unexpected emergencies.” The City Commission approved the rate increase on a unanimous vote.
