Osawatomie State Hospital has a new superintendent. Doctor Kristin Feeback has been appointed by the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services. Prior to the appointment, Dr. Feeback served as director of healthcare services at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She received her doctorate in psychology from California Southern University after receiving a master’s degree from Wichita State University and a bachelors degree from Fort Hays State University. Her appointment was effective September 9th. She will replace Wes Cole, an Osawatomie native who has been serving as interim superintendent since July of 2018. He plans to retire but will continue to serve on the governor’s behavioral health services planning council, and remain at the hospital for a time to ensure a smooth transition.
