Today is the day! The 2019 Fly Kansas Air Tour will come to the Garnett Airport and will offer participating pilot and passenger a unique glimpse of the airport and the Garnett community. Area schools to bring children to the airport to learn about aviation and meet and greet tour participants. Displays from local industries and businesses will be on hand to show what Garnett and Anderson County has to offer.
Kansas Department of Transportation Aviation Director Bob Brock says it’s about getting the word out about aviation jobs.
There will be an experimental aircraft presentation by Airport Advisory Board President Pat Schettler, and static aircraft and helicopter displays. The public is encouraged to attend. Come on out to the airport this afternoon, enjoy the fly in and show your local pride!
