KOFO Radio is celebrating our 70th year in Ottawa and along with that milestone comes a lot of memories. The Ottawa City Commission approved a proclamation recognizing KOFO’s anniversary and Commissioner Tom Weigand did a bit of reminiscing.
KOFO was founded in 1949, the call letters stand for Kansas Ottawa For Opportunity. A reminder, KOFO has a big birthday celebration planned for Tuesday of next week. Join us here at the station, on our lawn, from 11 to 1. There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks, and of course birthday cake!
