A possible request that the city of Ottawa give an extra several thousand dollars to the Franklin County Development Corporation….also known as FCDC….has stirred up some emotions among city commissioners. Commissioner Sarah Caylor says the whole thing is upsetting.
The extra money is contained among many other items in a proposed budget amendment that will be considered at the October 16 meeting. The extra 15 thousand dollars is requested for additional FCDC staffing…… and for a possible study of another fire station for south Ottawa.
