The Ottawa School Board has reviewed a series of test scores that for the most part indicates Ottawa students at all levels aer making good progress. Superintendent Doctor Ryan Cobbs, says helping students learn is a result of teacher changing the way they teach.

The Ottawa school district is going through a redesign project that changes the way teacher have traditionally taught, and so far school officials say the effort is paying off with fewer student failures and a big decline in behavior problems. Officials also say in the near future schools may be required to begin testing for dyslexic students and developing programs to help them learn.
