An Ottawa man was killed in an accident in Washington County yesterday afternoon. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 77-year-old Mike Towner was traveling Northbound on K-15 near Washington, Kansas shortly before 3 and lost control of the dump truck he was driving. It left the roadway, entered a ditch and then flipped end over end after traveling down the embankment, coming to rest in a pasture East of the road. No further information is available at this time. The Kansas Highway Patrol and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the crash.
