Ever since you were a kid there was the argument of “who is better? The police or the fire department?” Well, when it comes to disc golf here in Ottawa, we are about to find out! The first ever “Shoots and Ladders” disc golf tournament will be held this weekend. The event will put the Ottawa Police Department against the Ottawa Fire Department. They will be playing head to head to determine who actually is the best. It is a charity event and all proceeds raised from a doubles tournament that day as well as any donations received will go toward the departments charity. The police are playing for Special Olympics and the firemen are playing for the MO Kan Burn Foundation.
The first annual “Shoots and Ladders” disc golf tournament will be Sunday. The doubles tournament will be at 10 in the morning and the two departments will square off at 2 that afternoon. Come out to Forest Park Sunday and cheer on your favorite department.
