The city of Ottawa has formally opened the application procedure for downtown economic development services. They are soliciting requests for proposals, or RFP’s, from any group interested in performing such services. The city prefers downtown economic development activities be aligned with the principles of the National and Main Street programs although the city commission will entertain other proposals that meet their goals and objections for downtown economic development activities. City manager Richard Nienstedt runs through some suggestions.
The application process will begin on or about October 14th and are due no later than noon November 1st.
