If you don’t think the city of Ottawa has done enough mowing of empty lots or demolished enough unsafe houses, there’s a reason. It’s called budget limitations. Community Development Director Wyndee Lee, told the city commission that people have been calling her department.
Lee says because the budget had to be adjusted earlier this year, it meant that not as much could be done in trying to work around town keeping tall weeds and grass to a minimum, among other responsibilities.
