With the city of Ottawa asking for proposals for economic development for downtown Ottawa, a group of downtown business owners is attempting to come together and submit a proposal to the city commission. Some business owners have been part of downtown Main Street Organization, some Chamber members, some both and some not either. Shawn Turner, of Turner Flowers, says he and others are trying to bring everyone together.
They have called a meeting of downtown business owners, people who live in the downtown area, and several leaders in the Ottawa City Government to discuss the issues. It will be held this evening at 6:30 at the Ottawa Memorial Auditorium. Turner says they are looking for input and suggestions from all involved.
