October is domestic violence awareness month and the Willow Domestic Violence Center wants people to be aware of their services. At the Ottawa City Commission meeting yesterday, the commission issued a proclamation recognized the issue. Director of Community Services at Willow, Taylor Jones accepted the proclamation and says that they offer a wide variety of services both here and in Lawrence.
She added that next week, there will be activities designed to draw attention to the issue of domestic violence and Mugshot Coffee will be taking donations for Willow all next week.
