As flu season approaches, the Franklin County Health Department has a goal of getting as many people as possible protected from the flu. Health Department Director Midge Ransom says they have a goal and offer a unique service to people wanting the flu shot.
She adds that people over 65 really are encouraged to get the flu shot this year and every year. You can walk into the Health Department anytime and they will give you the shot. The vaccine this year covers two different strains of influenza A and two strains of influenza B.
