You have cancer, nobody wants to hear those words. The reality is that there will be over 1.7 million new cancer cases diagnosed in the United States this year and along with that, over 609,000 cancer deaths and that is just in the United States. This year, ovarian cancer will be diagnosed in over 22,000 women and over 14,000 will die from ovarian cancer, again that’s just in the United States. Ovarian cancer accounts for just 2.5% of all female cancer cases, but 5% of cancer deaths because of the disease’s low survival rate.
