Through the school redesign process the past several years, USD 290 has been wanting to get back to a standard based format and identify what students know and be clear on student knowledge, while moving away from points based grading. They have been working with technical support team out of the Kansas Department of Education to focus on their goals. Superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs says the two work together.
The TASN he refers to is the technical support. He added that the completion of the bond projects that has also been part of the redesign process, is nearly complete.
