Economic Development Director Julie Turnipseed would like local business at Thursday morning’s Morning Mingle. They are working on a “Love What’s Local” campaign for Garnett. The committee has decided to create a subcommittee and are reaching out to you to see who would be interested in serving on the committee. The committee will be designing a work plan on how best to kick off the campaign as well as a plan to maintain it for the long term. “Local,” campaigns have proven to be very beneficial in reminding consumers how important it is to do business locally. How keeping you dollars local helps to improve our roads, schools, police, fire, and other services.
It also instills a sense of community and community pride in the city and county. She asks that if you know of someone who is not attending Morning Mingle but would like to serve on this committee please reach out to them and ask them to come to the meeting Thursday morning.
