The only contested local elections this year are those for the Ottawa School Board. Malydia Payne is a newcomer running for the board. She says more fiscal responsibility is needed.
Payne also says she wants to improve the communications that patrons have with board members. She says currently some patrons feel it is somewhat difficult to communicate with individual board members.
