You’ll be able to smell Osawatomie from quite a distance today and tomorrow. The Border War BBQ will be held this weekend in Osawatomie’s John Brown Park. 43 teams from all over the area will slow cook meat in several categories including sausage, chicken, ribs, pork and brisket. Teams are rolling into the park today to set up. The kids competition is tonight, as well as the “booze be que,” a special meal prepared with alcohol. The main competition starts tomorrow. Head on down to John Brown Park, just follow your nose, there will be plenty of activities for the whole family.
