Something we know about all too well here in our area is affecting harvests across the nation, particularly in the upper midwest, wet conditions. USDA Undersecretary Bill Northey urges farmers to reach out to their crop insurance agents to let them know they will need extra time for harvesting if we weather is an issue.
He adds that the forecast for this week of cold rain and possibly snow, won’t make it any easier for harvest to be completed.
