The frost that hit our area a couple weeks ago effectively ended the growing season. Unfortunately, this came a couple weeks too early for most producers who’s crops got a late start brought on by the excessive rains earlier in the spring and summer. However Frontier Extension Agent Darren Hibdon says the corn crop looks pretty good.
He adds that the soybean crop received some heavy damage from flooding and the frost and crop yields on that crop will be greatly varied all across the area.
