A three car accident on Highway 59 sent a driver to the hospital. A car driven by 39-year-old Bandon Nelson of Ottawa struck the rear of a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Mallory Fretwell of Ottawa, who had stopped to wait on a vehicle in front of her to turn. The impact forced her to crash into the rear of a truck driven by 68-year-old Karen Walburn of Ottawa. Fretwell’s vehicle spun away from Walburn’s truck and then was struck by Nelson’s vehicle. One driver was transported to Advent Health Ottawa for treatment of their injuries, another driver reported possible minor injuries but declined a trip to the hospital.
