Ottawa City Commissioner Sara Caylor has been elected as Vice President of the League of Kansas Municipalities. Caylor joined the league in 2018 and has served as City Commissioner since 2011, while serving on numerous community boards. She’s not the first Ottawan to have the honor of serving on the league’s board. City Manager Richard Nienstedt says Ottawa has a rich history with them.
Caylor says whether you live in a city of 500 or 500,000, the League of Municipalities has many resources to help serve a city. She has expressed interest in parks, infrastructure and issues surrounding youth.
