It’s Election Day and the only contested race in Ottawa is for school board. Four positions are up for grabs and five candidates are vying for them. One incumbent is Brian Kane. Kane has served on the board for the last 12 years and says the new Career and Technical Education wing at Ottawa High is an important investment in our future.
He adds that as a service contractor himself, he sees the future leaning toward students being workforce ready when they leave high school.
