It’s Election Day and the only contested race in Ottawa is for school board. Four positions are up for grabs and five candidates are vying for them. One incumbent is Julie Dandreo. With only two years on the board, she serves as the board president. She says the Ottawa School District is moving forward, much better than other districts.
She added that she is a believer in the power of education in our world today.
There are three seats available on the Ottawa City Commission. Sara Caylor, Eric Crowley and Tom Weigand are all running unopposed.
The polls are open at 7 this morning until 7 this evening. KOFO will have election coverage starting tonight at 7.
