Cell phone towers have been around for decades, but how safe are they? That’s one question raised by a Franklin County resident at the county commission meeting. Susan Ncow lives in Sand Creek Estates and she’s concerned about safety because approval was granted for a neighbor’s 80-foot cell phone tower.
Ncow says the county needs to study the safety of the higher-capacity cell towers because a lot is unknown about its safety. She says regulation of the towers may need to be tightened to protect public safety.
