Ottawa University Alum Marian Getz has come a long way in her career as a pastry chef. She works as Wolfgang Puck’s Executive Pastry Chef and has worked for him for the past 21 years. She worked her way up the ranks, starting at one of his cafes. Starting in a local grocery store in Florida as a cake decorator, she wanted more, so one day she took a chance and walked into one of Puck’s cafes…

She has written 38 “Simply The Best” cookbooks. She’ll be back in Ottawa next week for the Hofstetter Defries cultural event. She talked with KOFO’s Dave Edwards about her career, her drive to do more, and a few tid bits about what it’s like to work with Wolfgang Puck.
