The final agriculture trade numbers are in for all of fiscal year 2019 and generally it followed the same trend all year long, exports down and imports up. USDA International Trade Economist Kamron Daugherty says the year ended with September’s exports at $10.3 billion, the lowest export month since June of 2016. Adding it all up, Kamron says this is what happened this past year.
Agriculture forecasters are hoping that the new trade agreements with Japan, a new deal between the US, Canada and Mexico and a new trade agreement with China will produce increased exports for the next fiscal year.
